It is the mission of the Product Development Engineering team to enable new production opportunities. 

 

High Level Statement of the Role

The Project Engineer will support the Product Development Team with project planning, monitoring, controlling and reporting.

 

High Level Roles & Responsibilities

 

  • Provide vendor & project management support for product development engineering team.
  • Coordinate with engineers in project planning, controlling, monitoring, reporting and escalation.  (Engineers are responsible for technical details and assist customers in the development of cost-effective test strategies and timely completion of test specifications and statements of work.)
  • Ensure customer contract and quality requirements are achieved within budget, on-time and to the satisfaction of external and internal customers.
  • Lead multiple activities and/or projects at any given time and coordinate with multiple departments, manufacturing plants and vendors.
  • Coordinate with program management to plan & monitor activities related to NPI prototyping, pilot builds, manufacturing process readiness, qualification requirements and schedules.
  • Identify and resolve, with the team, any potential deviations from the approved project plan.

·          Understanding of electronic and electro-mechanical design and development.

·          PCB manufacturing and testing preferred, but not required.

·          Demonstrate principled character and leadership qualities.

 

Experience Preferred

·          BSEE & test engineering

·          PMI PMP, IPC CEPM or comparable certification

·          10 - 15 years of technical or manufacturing experience, preferably in automotive electronics,

·          5 - 7 years in a project leadership role.

 

Minimum

·          BS Technical or EET

·          5 - 10 years of technical or manufacturing experience

·          3 - 5 years in a project leadership role
