Commodity Team Leader

Most important tasks and responsibilities:
- Responsibilities:
- Strategic
Commodity Management – Create commodity-level strategy and
tactics to meet the overall global supply objectives (i.e.,
continuity of supply, cost reduction, low cost country sourcing,
etc.). Direct a team of globally-matrixed commodity resources in
executing the global commodity plan.
- Strategic
Sourcing/Supply Base Development & Management – Supplier
identification, evaluation, selection, performance management,
supply base right-sizing, executive supplier interface.
- Contract
Development and Negotiation – Development and negotiation of
global supply and equipment agreements, including pricing road
maps, company’s standard terms and conditions, expectations,
procurement best practices, risk mitigation, etc.
- Program
Management – Global Program Leader for key cost reduction
programs. These programs could include such things as supplier
changes, supplier relocations to low cost regions, negotiations,
design changes, etc.
- Material
Cost Reduction Reporting – Support the creation of all
material cost reduction forecasts, including the Annual Plan
(AP) with quarterly updates, and the Long Range Plan (LRP).
Reconcile and report on actuals vs. plan.
- Occasional
global travel required - 10 to 15%

Educational requirements:
- Bachelors
Degree in Business or Supply Management related area.
- 5-7
years procurement/commodity management experience.
